Congratulations to the 2007 Virginia District 16 10-11-Year Old Champions from Upper Loudoun National!
Upper Loudoun National won the District Championship Game in dramatic fashion, with William Reed hitting a walk-off 2-run homer. They move on to the State Tournament in Virginia Beach.

Updates:

• 7/25: ULLLN lost their semifinal game to District 5's Mechanicsville today 6-5 in 8 innings. The game was well pitched from both sides, and was tied 3-3 after 6 innings. After a scoreless 7th, Mechanicsville scored 3 runs in the top of the 8th. Upper Loudoun came back with 2 runs, with the tying run at 3rd base and the winning run at 2nd at the end of the game.   Despite the disappointment, the team performed admirably, and everyone associated with the tournament was sorry to see us go, telling us that we as a team (players, coaches, parents) were the "class of the tournament". The boys did a great job and represented ULLL and District 16 well.

• 7/24: District 1's Bristol started today's game with 6 straight hits, and had 6 runs by the middle of the 1st inning. Upper National responded with 4 runs, 9 runs, 2 runs, and 2 more runs in the bottom of the 4th inning to win it, 17-7. They will play District 5's Mechanicsville on Wednesday. The winner of that game will play District 9's West Springfield for the State title on Thursday.
• 7/24: ULLLN beat District 10's SYA East, 5-4.
• 7/23: ULLLN lost to District 5's Mechanicsville, 2-11 on Sunday.
• 7/21: ULLLN beat the State Tournament's host league, District 8's Virginia Beach, 10-3 on Friday, and then beat District 2's Lynchburg Colonial 14-6 on Saturday.
